Where In The World Is Evan?

My 21st Party

For those of you whom I haven’t spoken to recently, and for those who just have crappy memories, I am leaving on a much needed trip to Thailand and Nepal tomorrow (1:30am on Thursday).

I will be lounging on beaches in Thailand before heading off to Nepal to go hiking for two weeks in the Annapurna Sanctuary, in the Himalaya, where I will be ascending to a maximum hight of over 4,100 meters above sea level!

I’ve been told that Nepal has internet cafes along part of the trekking route that I will be taking (a strange thought for a country in which 85% of the population doesn’t have electricity) so I will endeavour to send out a couple of emails to you all letting you know of my progress. I might even send some photos from my brand new Nikon Coolpix 5400 digital camera :-)

As I will be away until the 5th of March you can wait till then to RSVP, respond to this email, or simply leave a message on my home number.

If any of you are wondering why this invitation is itself rather crappy that can be blamed on the car accident that I had coming home from work today (no I am not joking). The stupid car driver didn’t see me on my scooter and pulled out in front of me, totally cutting me off. I hit the side of her car and was thrown off the scooter and onto the road :-( So after the requisite trip to the doctor to get checked out, and all the annoying calls to insurance companies, I really couldn’t be bothered doing a descent job of this invitation.

As for me, I’m feeling okay, just a little bruised and stiff and with a mildly increased risk of getting DVT on the flight to Thailand.

Anyway I’d best get on to making a start on packing.

Hopefully I’ll see you all on the 13th.
